dizzy flip flops – Dizzy

From the author of FRIDA comes a jangly, jumpy, beboping book about Dizzy Gillespie, the clown prince of jazz.
This is the story of Dizzy Gillespie, a real cool cat who must have been born with a horn in his hands, judging from the way he played the trumpet. Jazz was his ticket on a train to better days, and he left his hard life in a small town for New York City and the hottest band around. But did Dizzy stand straight and play right? NO! He was a clown. He hit high notes, low notes, never-been-heard notes, and before he knew it, Dizzy created a whole new music: BEBOP.
This is a story about a boy who breaks all the rules — and finds his own personal heaven along the way.

[1:05] Sterling Gurbux is rushed in by paramedics from an ambulance. She has large bandage around her midsection.
[1:06] Alayni Axelrad rises to her feet quickly as the paramedics rush in, carrying a small girl. "What happened?"
[1:08] Sterling Gurbux is unconscious, but the medics would inform Alayni that the girl had suffered a bullet wound to the chest. The bullet passed straight through without tumbling, but she suffered from a good deal of blood loss. There is a smaller, superficial wound just under her armpit from a grazing bullet.
[1:08] Sterling Gurbux: bullet wound to the stomach sorry I am so tired*****
[1:10] Alayni Axelrad took over the gurney from the paramedics and thanked them, wheeling it over to the bed she had them assist her in lifting the girl’s feet, hips, and head all at the same level, onto the medical bed. She dismissed them to their rounds and called Chichi to perform a scan of the girl’s vitals
[1:15] Sterling Gurbux is in otherwise good shape and condition; slightly malnourished from what was likely a low-budget diet and a lack of sleep, but her body seemed to be resistant to trauma, although it had lost a lot of blood.

[1:26] Alayni Axelrad moved to the cabinet and pulled out a pint of A- blood, hooking the bag to the IV unit located next to her. She didn’t hook it up to her immediately however, and closely examined her wound. Noticing the bullet shot clean through the other side, she first replaced a tight bandage soaked in Iodine along her back, to prevent bleeding and prevent infection. Next, she rulled the girl over very carefully until she was laying on her back, and instructed Chichi to begin carefully cutting the girl open with his small lazer so she could look at the damage. The incision was not very long, only 2 inches or so, so that Alayni could examine the inside of her body. Noting that the pancreas had been shot, she began to set Chichi to the careful work of cauterizing the wound inside it until it was closed
[1:27] Sterling Gurbux is flipped over without resistance, although a slight groan indicated that she was coming to.
[1:28] Shilandar Deledda stepped back into the Med center. Through the back door, hands behind back. "You were saying?"
[1:34] Alayni Axelrad noticing the girl was coming to, she quickly brought over a tank of morphine and placed the breathing aparatus over the girl’s mouth, turning it on a medium setting so she would not scream out in pain when she woke up. Glancing over at Chi, her latex gloved fingers covered in blood, she raised a brow, "Can you wait a minute, kind of have a gunshot victim here…." and without waiting for his reply, she looked over and noticed chichi had sealed the wounds inside the girl’s pancreas. Wincing because she knew the girl was going to be extremely nautious when she woke up, she pulled out a needle and thread and began to carefullt stitch the wound on the outer layer of her skin, creating small surgical stitches that would be absorbed into the skin after several days.
[1:35] Shilandar Deledda thought about such. "No." He turned to head out. He had all the waiting time he desired, and did’t care to be in the Med center when he didn’t have to, regardless. He would just try and find the lady later, likely after reading her message.
[1:35] Sterling Gurbux whimpered a bit as the rubber cup was placed over her mouth, her whimpers becoming sharp cries before fading away, once the morphine began to circulate.
[1:36] Vesric Caeran walks into the mcmc and sees the guard, he explains his business and walks to the back after relinquishing his pistol.
[1:39] Alayni Axelrad finished bandaging the wound as a safeguard to prevent the stitches from ripping, and hooked the IV into the girl’s wrist artery to start replenishing some of the blood she had lost. She walked to the medicine cabinet and pulled out a bottle of small pills and a piece of paper, writing the girl a prescription for medicine to temporarily reduce the production of per pancreatic juices until the wound was fully healed. She set the bottle and the prescription down next to the bed, before noticing a man had just entered the med center, "Can I help you sir?"

[1:40] Sterling Gurbux is thoroughly under.
[1:42] Vesric Caeran nods. "yeah, I was looking for a woman named sterling, heard she was in an altercation near the festival, is she here?" he would ask politely.
[1:46] Alayni Axelrad held her bloodied latex gloved hands away from her so she did not drip all over herself as she looked over to the woman on the bed. "This woman has been unconscious the entire time and I have no idea her name, but the paramedics mentioned she came from the festival. She was shot through her pancreas and I just finished patching her up….is the woman you are looking for a relative of yours?"
[1:47] Vesric Caeran decides in this situation, its best to lie. "yes, im her brother." he says..

“There’s a light, light in the darkness of everybody’s life” Richard O’Brien

Sometimes I am four seasons in one day my internal emotional system is a rollercoaster thats instructions have been lost many years ago. I am most likely expired, out of date, there is a new model on the shelf ready to be opened.

I am new, unique, there is no one else like me, my internal construction is too complex and sometimes it short-circuits you couldn’t even replicate me if you tried, though you wouldn’t want to. The lows are low but the highs are earth shiningly beautiful. My mind is full of dizzying contradiction that I embrace and hate.

I can cope much better with all this now, I see the beauty in life more now. I don’t kick or punch walls, I don’t stand over bridges at night and stare into the water, I don’t hurt myself physically or others emotionally. Now when the dark clouds come I feel nothing, nothing – it is bleak.

Sometimes I can cry at the simplicity of life – those simple moments. I won’t ever achieve perfection in anything but I can do my best in achieving perfection.

I was an indie kid that dressed like Jarvis Cocker, went to Blur concerts and listened to Peter Gabriel and Nick Cave. I have show tunes, Sigur Ros, Snow Patrol, Sparks, Steve Martin, Supergrass, Split Enz, Suzanne Vega, Suede, Sam and Dave and the Super Furry Animals on my iPod.

I am contradiction, imbalance… predictably unpredictable.

I want everything now but have the patience to wait for it.

Tomorrow is another day, so live now and take it all, now, drink it all down now. NOW. Tomorrow is another day.

People never used to inspire me, I never respected anyone. These days’ things are different, I am a beautiful mess in flip-flops that enjoys cheese. I used to hate so much… now though I love, love so much. That is the payoff, the love, I never had it before, in those bleak years, but I do now. So now all those numb dull times are still bad, but fleeting, but long, but there is always love at the end. And omg love is all that matters and I love me and mine and you and yours. My arms are long and there is enough room for everyone.
